Portugal - Supertubos

We head over Supertubos - Portugal, where we can find one of the best waves in this country.

With around 600 miles of coast, much of which is sandy beach, Portugal is a beach-goer's paradise. Add Portugal's excellent climate and you can see why portugal rates as one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe.

Portugal's beaches vary widely in both appearance and the range of activities they offer.

Unlike other countries in Southern Europe, whose coasts face into the calm waters of the Mediterranean, Portugal faces the full force of the Atlantic Ocean. As a reult they provide some of the best surf and surfing in Europe.

You can come to Portugal in many ways, the most practical using the plane. Terminal A offers us several low costs flights from all over the world, where Lisbon is the point of destination.

Once arrived in Lisbon, we can choose to rent a car and go directly to Peniche or save some money and either:

- take a taxi to Parque das Nações and then take the subway to the Sete Rios( where a subway ride costs € 0.80) and then take a bus to Peniche.

- take a taxi to Sete Rios to then take a bus to Peniche.

Additional information about the bus station:
Address: Praça Marechal Humberto Delgado - Rua das Laranjeiras | 1500-543 LISBOA
Phone:+351 213581460

On the way we imagine the waves to come, the clear sea and the super pipe ...

but we still need a spot to sleep...

We can choose several forms of accommodation ... Hotels(Hotel Praia Norte
, Hotel Dona Rita Park Resort) Surf Camps (Peniche Surf Camp, 58 surf) and campsites.

A few meters from the beach Supertubos there is a campsite, where we can perfectly walk to the beach.

Information:
Camping Parque Municipal de Campismo
Address - Av. Monsenhor M. Bastos, Peniche 2520-206 , Leiria (Portugal)
Phone - +351 262789696

But you can browse the net, there is plenty of information. Once installed, we can start thinking about the days of surfing ahead ...

If you come in winter, get ready and perhaps the camp is not a good idea, since it is very cold and it rains a lot, but the sea is usually giant.

In the summer time is much better, despite being almost always morning fog ... but what matters are the waves ..
